Part sun/cloud, warm, 25 degrees, wind 22km/SI took a walk around the pond this morning to see what was there. The Caspian Terns are gone. I saw Ring-billed Gulls, lots of Double-crested Cormorants, Canada Geese, Mallard, Cooper's Hawk, Killdeer, Mourning Dove, Blue Jay, and Cardinal.Monarch (1), Cabbage Whites (5) |

London, Ontario - Wonderland Rd S. Drainage Pond - Middlesex County
This morning, I thought I would visit the drainage ponds to see what was there. Just when I got there it clouded over with a few rain drops. |

There has been some Caspian Terns (4) at the Wonderland Rd S. Drainage Pond for the last few days. They were flying around so I tried getting some photos of them on the wing. I only got a few not so blurry photos. One did a plunge dive...can really hear the slap sound on the water. They are excellent flyers! |
